Pizza Sauce

Our Pizza dip recipe box includes instructions for a quick and easy homemade pizza sauce, a perfect balance of tomato sweetness and our medley of savory spices

Makes 3 ¼ cups of sauce, enough to make 4 pizzas. Can be refrigerated for up to 7 days, or frozen to keep for use at another time.
 796 ml (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
 30 ml (2 tbsp.) olive oil
 15 ml (1 tbsp) water
 5 ml (1 tsp) sugar

In a saucepan, combine the Pizza Dip seasoning with the canned tomatoes, olive oil, water and sugar, mix well.

Bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring frequently. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and let simmer 15-20 minutes

Remove from heat and let cool completely before using.
